Your tour begins in Fes, where you’ll drive to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Spend the day exploring the medina’s narrow streets, visiting the Kasbah Museum, and enjoying panoramic views from the Spanish Mosque. Overnight in a traditional riad in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time to explore more of Chefchaouen’s charm. In the afternoon, return to Fes, where you’ll spend the night. Use this time to relax or explore Fes’s vibrant medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before your desert adventure begins.
Depart Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane. Continue to Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges, before heading to Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara. Arrival in Merzouga: After your journey from Fes or Midelt, you’ll arrive in Merzouga, a small village on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll meet your camel caravan and prepare for your desert adventure.
Camel Ride: As the sun begins to set, you’ll mount your camel and take a peaceful trek across the golden sands of Erg Chebbi. The ride usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the location of your camp.
